Chouteau Development holds ground-breaking ceremony
Chouteau Development Co. announced the ground-breaking ceremony for the Chouteau
Crossings Shopping Center will take place Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m. at Interstate 35 and
Chouteau Trafficway.
Walton Construction Co. Inc. will be the general contractor for the 240,000-square-foot
project. The shopping center will be a joint venture project between JP Realty Inc. of
Overland Park and Fleming Cos. Inc.
Chouteau Crossings will be anchored by two larger stores, the first anchor being
Fleming Cos. Inc., who will introduce Festival Foods supermarket to the area. The second
anchor has yet to be determined.
With an anticipated opening in spring 2001, other tenants include IHOP Restaurant,
Blockbuster Video and Custom Cuts hair salon. The remaining space to be leased is being
handled by Mike Hardy of JP Realty Inc.
